Penélope Gonçalves

Penélope is a creator and facilitator of communities of impact. As a co-founder of local.foundation, a platform helping community builders create stronger, more vibrant communities by mapping and studying regional impact. She serves as Technical & Team Lead at Centric Software, where she drives innovation in the PIM market. An active community builder in Portugal's tech & entrepreneurial scene, she leads Geek Sessions Faro, is part of the General Assembly Board of 351 Startups and has facilitated and spoken at several events including Techstars Startup Weekend, Geek Girls Portugal, Shift Faro, TEDxPraça Gil Eanes and Impact Hackers. With a background in computer engineering and experience leading multicultural development teams, she combines technical expertise with creative community-building to solve complex problems in a collaborative way.
